Reaching Back, Pulling Foward No.1
Stone Lithograph on Rives BFK
15”x22”

Year: 2024
As a trained printmaker, I can experiment with color and its arrangement to captivate the viewer.  This print is constructed by printing the first layer in a yellow to red gradient roll.  The second layer of blue is achieved by rotating the stone 180 degrees and scraping away selective areas to achieve a wider range of colors where the scraped away and lighter areas overlap.  These color investigations, whether it be printed or drawn, all serve as studies for larger fiber structures. Being able to understand how colors layer and how they can be translated in three dimensions as fibers is what intrigues my practice within my works on paper.
