Woven Planes No.1
Oil Paint Mono Print and Collagraph on Rives BFK
30”x31”

Year: 2024

These impressions are reminiscent of the fleeting moments I witness within my larger sculptural works. The one-off nature of mono printing allows for that one specific moment in time to be captured and locked into place within the papers surface.  Drawing and printing allow for an immediate engagement between color and line that influence the way I perceive and construct fibers work that reflect these moments of color and chaos.  Using scraps of weaving ends and string, the collagraph process allows for the installation of materials from others woven works to be incorporated and their memories and impressions to be recorded.  These act as the living structure for time and space to unravel and their physicality to be witness in a new light.
