Green and Yellow Lines with Mound
Multi Plate Mono Print using Etching Ink on Rives BFK
29”x21”

Year: 2022

Using multiple plexi plates to build up a unique image is how this print was created.  Breaking free from a regimented way of printing, breaking down etching inks to the consistency of paints and using different solvents allows for a new way of engaging with the printed image.  The immediacy of mono printing mimics that of drawing.  Having the ability to move freely at the press to paint and manipulate a plate is essential to understanding the play at hand when mono printing.  Pulling the ghost prints of each plate allows for the breakdown of this immediacy and captures moments of time that each layer exposes.   These images move freely through the grid structure, breathing as if it were just printed.  This is the key image in an edition of eight subsequent ghost prints.
